How much boost?  stock compression? That was DEFINETLY a gamble running a mile WOT on pump gas.....You'll get it back together in no time....Just do your homework this time around....throw a spacer plate in there while you're at it.

Kudos to Speedking for the freebies.... I have "donated" two sets of freebies to board members myself....its good to help out others... :thumb:

Sean, don't make me say it... ;) j/k

If so make sure to run a quick hone through it.. :thumb:

Pistons not here yet. I'm hoping they'll be waiting for me when I get home. Gonna try to reassemble it over the weekend. The cylinder was honed and is ready to put back together! They didn't use acid, just cleaned it up a bit. Looks like it's ready to go now!

I'll be changing the guts over the winter. I already have the engine mostly back together. I'm gonna try to finish it tomorrow. No table or desk to work on, so I'm sitting on the floor of the garage. That gets old after a while. lol

Engine is back together. Gonna try to put it back in the frame tonight. I have two more finals this week, so there's only so much that can get done. At least the weather is crappy for now. lol

Sean,

You may as well upgrade since you've got it all apart... ;)
BAD INFLUENCE ALERT! BAD INFLUENCE ALERT!

I don't want to see you doing this again next year... ;)

Upgrade....upgrade...upgrade...

I'm not planning on doing much more hellraising on it actually. I got the bike primarily so I can ride with my GF. That's my favorite thing to do. I've been down that "upgrading" road with cars. You're talking to a guy who has $65,000 invested in his race car CHASSIS. I can't see myself doing that sort of thing again. lol
$65.000 in race car chassis, and a burnt Busa motor, kind of like looking in a mirror :hys:
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does
