08 Turbo Busa Dyno Results
« on: April 30, 2009, 09:34:59 AM »
Got the dyno results yesterady on my custom turbo 08 busa. Kit has an RCC header, custom plenum, fuel rail, RCC FMU and a garrett turbo with .48 turbine and .60 comp with a stage 3 wheel. Plan on upping the boost more this next winter when I build the block to hadle the boost. Made 250.17hp and 124.27tq. Starts boosting at 6krpms and full boost at 6.7krpms. Flat torque curve at 7.7krpms til 11k redline. Peak hp is at 10.8krpms. Once I figure out how to add pics then I will get the dyno graph up on here. Thanks to richard at RCC Turbos for helping out when I only bought a few items and not a whole kit!

Email the pics to me ngjavo@aol.com and I'll host and post them.  I'm interested in something very similar.  How much does it cost to get to this level, if you don't mind sharing?

I did everything the poor man's way and overall i spent about 2300-2500. Get the major components that you can't make like header, FMU, gauges, fuel pump, wastegate, couplings, fittings, and different size hoses for the turbo drain, fuel, vaccuum, and oil feed. i made my own plenum and up pipe. Add the cost of getting it dyno tuned and about 2500 bucks later your boosted and have a permagrin from ear to ear!

Cool man!  Are you stretched?  At what speed can you apply all of the power and keep the front end down?

I am stretched about 6 over right now but with adjustment from 3-10" over from stock. Had the bolt on extensions welded on for more strength. I installed a +6 over extended tail and turbo street upper from catalyst composites. They're still in primer and just waiting for the funds to get painted. When i get it painted and finished i will get some pics posted.

Also as far as coming up on you i still have some dialing in to do on my rear shock but it just spins the back tire in 1st gear at high rpm/throttle 100% and sometimes spins in 2nd and sometimes doesnt. Thats with a +5 rear sprocket or 48T set up for the strip. I just put on a 39T rear sprocket and when I get to ride it a lil more I will let you know how it rides. The 48T rear sprocket is a blast to ride with on the streets but the 39T i think will be more street friendly. results pending more riding time and with the rockies during winter/spring the weather changes from 70 degrees sunny one day to 32 degrees and snow/raining the next.
