flashing the 08 ecu

hey guys,just some heads up,rr has sucessfully up loaded a 08 .bin file and has written a rough defition file,flashing may be able soon!!!! :thumb: :thumb:
09 BUSA, PROBLEMCHILD II.... tuned with the factory ecu by ME!! thanks PETRIK, ridgeracer,and SMITHBUSA. ...  "FAMILY FIRST"...

rr,states that up-loading the .bin was the easy part!! the new ecu uses different language and ftd will  not be able to work to flash it :grn:I am shure tracing out the functions of the ecu will take some time,but it will be figured out. :thumb:

Darn :evil:,
And I wanted to spend 300 on the PC hub, and 300 on the ignition module, and 350 on the PCIII (or PCV) and another 350 on a second PCIII to run the upper injectors.
Can't wait for this one...
I know I can do this.  I saw it done in a cartoon once.

This reminds me very much of the Satellite card hacking we used to do a few years ago.  I miss those days so bad with all the free stuff I would get!!!

just an update,i recieved my re-flashed 08 ecu,rev and speed only and tested it at the last ama race in commerce and it worked flawesly..... :thumb:

Once petrik release ecu editor 2.0 Ill be making up harnesses that should be able to use the same flasher box for gen 1s I've been making

Whole section in the technical section to look at.
But it is the hacking and reprogramming of the stock ecu to allow someone to reset virtually any value
(redline before bike starts cutting out, fuel maps, ignition retarding, top speed restriction) which replaces
the need for a power commander, tre or gps mod, and virtually anything that is used to trick the ecu.
