New tires
« on: March 05, 2009, 02:42:53 PM »
So I'm getting the bike out to ride and have a flat after a little ride last night.  1520 miles and pick up a nail. (FU(K!)  Plug and air up to go around town, but I don't ride bikes on plugged tires.
Question is, Metz M3 or Mich Pilot Power?  or is there another?
Riding style is moderatly agressive, but no drag/track time.
I'd say that 80% of my time is highway riding, but I want the cornering ability there if I need it.
Anyone got anything?

I say you cant go past Bridgestone Battlax BT-015, they come standard on the Busa, unbelievable tyre in my

book, you can hook em' over they wont let go , I've scratched the clutch cover on the right side of the

fairing in a corner, the suspension wasn't loaded up, great tyre !!  somewhere between 3 & 5 depends how

brutal  you are on em' !! That's my bit >

I just put a Shinko 003 ultra soft rear on my 08 Busa.  Heats up and holds like a full race tire.  Broke in quickly and will finally give the power to the ground.  My stock tire would lightup like a Christmas tree but the Shinko will pull for days with little slipping.  Hope this helps.  And just so yall know I ride my bike like a Busa wants to be ridden, I got about 3500 miles out of my stock tire before the cords started to show.

I had Dunlop Qualifiers on my '03 Busa and they were a nice improvement over stock.  And from just about every review on them, they last way longer.

I was curious how long the ultra soft shinko lasts?(was thinking of switching from my battlax to a shinko) if anyone reading this knows.
