Deals gap
« on: May 12, 2009, 08:28:21 AM »
I got a chance to DRIVE the gap
My work sent me to Loudon TN for a week

People who drive it fast are crazy.
just driving the rental car I got the guy in the back seat to puke
 :)

the road is awsome BUT a trailer coming the other way could easily be fatal
I would rip it up if they would close the road

Well your a lucky man.
Ive found some roads almost just as good without the carnival atmosphere. Closer to where i live even .
i'll never tell where they are though Least not broadcast location on the internet.

When I was out there in fall of 2004 the road and countryside where spectacular!  I turned around and followed some locals on 1000's and 600's that were actually intentionally pulling out in the oncoming lane to arch the corners. They weren't even at a fast pace, needless to say I turned around and rejoined and appreciated my ridding buddies even more. Only been back with the wife and the Harley once since then, Arkansas is fine for me.

I'm not sure how to respond to this post, I have lived here for 26 years long before Busa;s were even thought of, that road has always ben there, as far the CARNIVAL atmosphere, the outlanders did that LOL, you must respect that road, or it WILL bite you in the ass bad, and you will have parts on the tree of shame, I run it once or twice a month, have for years did little more than scrap a footpeg :thumb:
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

Depends on wether or not I have to work. You may see me up there but I'm not usually with the group. I just go up there on the weekends cause i like riding up there. but if you see a black/burgandy with a chick on the back in all baby blue gear, flag me down.
