How do you pull the nose off the 08?

have you got the lowers off?  Start with all the little push pins.  Pull the lupperfairing's belly out.  All done w/push pins. Pulle the inner sides and the rear under belly.  The sides are stuck on hard with the visible fasteners and the little plastic dicks that snap into the rubber rings on the frame.  Once you get that off you should see what's holding the upper in place.

Pull the mirrors and remove the bolts holding on the top of the upper fairing, remove the inner dash panels and a couple more screws and it slides right off. Make sure when you reinstall it you align the points on the back of the light into their holes on the fairing stay. otherwise you might snap the plastic or have the light not facing the right way and angled off a little bit.

Don't forget the bolts under the headlight that connect the ram-air ducts... ;)

I've never removed one from a GenII, how much different is it than the first generation Hayabusa?

It's a little different, but you'll be able to do it if I got it off. Just don't rush because you'll break plastic.
