Alan its part 13089
http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/Module/Main/TypeID/26/Type/Motorcycle/MakeID/3/Make/Kawasaki/YearID/45/Year/2004/ModelID/3411/Model/Ninja_ZX-10R/GroupID/94800/Group/Clutch
clutches are the same size as the gixxer 1k, you will need to restack your pack after fitting and leave out a fibre
Absolutely no shudder, had another 1k on my dyno on friday and could feel the shudder in it , would make a hard launch very difficult

I'll take this oppotunity to whore some too

OZ, is that shudder plate a steel or is like a fiber on both sides or.....?  If you pull one of the fibers out of the stack, that means I'll have a steel on steel in there somewhere right?  My stack height should be pretty good, it only has 4 passes on it and they were 1.99 60' passes....  I have never seen one of those ZX10 plates.....looks like steel with holes in it.....

I have never messed with a 1000's anything so I am not even sure what the stack height is.

Alan its like 2 steels with a wave washer between ,the holes are countersunk rivets holding it together, if you have ever replaced a car clutch plate its the same design as they use, and yep you end up with 2 steels together somewhere in the stack, this gets you the stack height back to normal

OZ, do you think that Zx10 anti shudder plate works as well as the Brock's cushion?  I know Brocks kit has the cushion ring, the wave washer/seat(like the 02 up busa setup) and 5 hd springs for $150.     I would rather not have the heavy ass springs in there if I don't need em.  My clutch doesn't really chatter in and out or anything.....it just grabs real quick, in order for it to slide, I have to let it grab once, then pull on the lever to get it slip'n.  No way that shiat is gonna work at the strip.

I am also dropping a tooth on the front sprocket to let me get the axle all the way back. I will prolly lower the front 1", then strap it, and ofcourse lower the rear 2.5-3"....Hopefully I can take some of the fight out of this short little mutha....  I would love to get it in the 9.60-9.70 range but......at 190lbs suited and below average skill, I doubt it will happen.....Not to mention I don't want to be putting clutches in it every weekend, it IS supposed to be my daily rider, not racer....

No idea how it compares, but its about 1/10 the price , and mine was very smooth and with std springs  enough bite in the clutch to pull the front up if i was too agressive on throttle and clutch even at 63", and bog the motor when i tried 2 step and throw the clutch

enough grip for this

9.001 on the spray at KCIR. 63 inches, yosh full pipe, ported and polished head, pc3, etc. You have to drive these things like you are trying to break them. Thats when they run best. Did you get the email i sent you BusaJonsey?

Man after seeing the pics etc...I can't wait to start playing with mine.  Just to race something stock and reliable to have fun is the best part.  I have some buddies that are just starting out drag racing on 08 busas, I fuck with them terribly on the street and neither one can pass me on the 1000 until about 160mph or so....since they started dragging at the strip, I have been TAUNTING them big time about the old hoopty 1000 coming out to smash them.....that hate it...I want to set this thing up to get as much out of it as I can with the power I have and a stock swingarm.  Last night I went back to a stock 42t rear and I'm waiting for the 16t for the front, that should get the axle ALL the way back....actually I hope I have enough adjustment to keep the chain from dragging the ground.  Initially I will try it with the stock clutch after after the first track trip, I will try the ZX10 anti shudder plate.  I just hope I can get WOT in 1st gear and hold it to redline to cut my 330' down.  If I can even get it to run 9.80s I can keep screwing with my buddies for fun....I'll tree them mofos and make em chase.....LOL   :hys:   All this on my stock motor, old school, 01, hoopty 1000.

Probably got a lot more to do with the rider than how new or how big the bike is,

i changed the clutch before i tried the original setup mainly because i had watched a guy at our track on his 62"04 1k batteling to get sub 2.00 60's for months, then he put a brocks kit in and went straight into the 1.60 and steadily improved from there , his was real bad and i wanted no part in something like that

Yeah I will order the ZX10 plate today.  If it shows up before my first track trip, I'll slap it in, if not, it will be in by the next trip.

Hey OZ, so the ZX10 shudder plate, is it exactly the same thickness as one thick fiber?  I don't have any old clutch packs I can mix/match with to get the stack height right so I am hoping I can throw in the shudder plate and the stack height be close to right.    Too bad these things don't use busa clutches, I got tons of those.

Actually, I hang onto the good ones...I go through them and get rid of the warped steels or below spec fibers.  I actually only have enough now for maybe 1 good extra clutch pack.  I am not even sure who is cutting good deals on clutch packs these days.  I recently bought an entire back from Ron Ayers...I want to say it was around $180......Probably cheaper other places though.

your replacing a steel and fibre with the new plate, just take the fibre from somewhere else in the pack  and otherwise fit it all like in the zx10 fiche .

Ok, I actually found all the fibers for $95 on eBay so I'll prob go that rout.

When putting the shutter plate in the gsxr pack is it the first steel in the pack or the last? Hey xquizitzx10 I was planning on ordering the plate from my local shop, it runs for $8.90 plus tax. If you have a spare you wanna get ride of let me know? I wanna try the plate cause my clutch will NOT slip at all for some reason :!: Just to make sure the shutter plate will still have a fiber in front and behind it but there will be two steels somewhere in the pack? Does it matter which steels are together in the pack?
