It was with 90 shot on a low compression motor, no head porting and stock cams. Made 220-225 hp. And that was fighting a wheelie at the 330 mark and a 1.41 60. Bike is hard to 60 on the low compression motor. Now it's on a 150 hp shot making 270 hp on a hand clutch.

Oh yeah and I am 205 suited.

Update from this weekend...

60'-- 1.71
330-- 4.34
1/8--6.47@116
1/4--9.92@140.91

Stock wheelbase, race weight was 610lbs.  (bike 420/me 190lbs)
DA--  +2024

I know I still have a little left in the 60', MAYBE another .05-.07....I need another 2 tenths off of my 330's to get 9.70s.  Thats my goal.  For some reason, I had no MPH this past weekend.  The DA was a little worse then usual but.... Normally I run 141.5-142.5, best ever and only once was a 143.10.  This past friday my fastest was only 140.94mph. Not sure whats up with that but..

9.97

9.92

New best this friday night....9.86 and 9.87, both at 141mph.  1.67 60's.  I think I have about another .05 to gain on the 60' and thats about as good as its gonna get.....I think I can get a high 9.70, probably need better air, upper 80s friday night.   I think during the winter with some - DA and a 1.62 60', I will get some 9.70s.....Thats about all this ole girl is gonna do with my 190lb suited ass on it and 55.7" wheelbase.....  I can live with that though...

Its a 2004 gsxr1000, I have it lowered, front and back. 60" wheel base, full Hindle exhaust, 16 teeth in the front 45 in the back, 2mm overbore, degreed cams, air shifter, pwr commander tuned, and a undercut transmission. Shinko Ultra Soft 190 rear tire at 12lbs of pressure. I'm shooting for low 9's, I've only had around 25 passes on this setup so I'm sure once I get the 60's in the 1.5 range I'll be hitting 9.3's MAYBE better....I would be extremely pleased if I could hit 9.3's consistantly. I still need to add a shift light to help keep my shifts consistant, should have one by next year. The bike weighs in at around 420lbs with 2 gallons in the tank and I'm at 190lbs suited. Gonna wait one more year before I spray her!!! Eventually wanna run 8's but for now low 9's will be fine.

Nice, my goal is to run low 9's on stock wheel base. Not sure what i want to do as far as nos/turbo/NA. I would like to keep it all motor until I get to the low 9's, then throw extenders on it with a stage 1 turbo kit and an 05 and up ported head. Maybe throw some carillo rods and good pistons in so I can turn up the boost. Nos is cheap hp but I want power I dont need to keep filling up, beside it takes a toll on the engine after a while. Maybe one day ill take out a loan and drop some money in her, but for now im just gonna try to get the most out of her stock and work on those 60' times.

I rode my 05' GSX-R 1000 to the track( Tri-State Ohio) on 10/3/09 and managed a best of 9.87 @ 144.99. Head wind from the 1:00 - 1:30 position.1.68 60 ft. fighting wheelies in 1st & 2nd gear. Stock pipe, stock wheelbase, foot shifting, 1 down in front, lowered and strapped (NOT SLAMMED), BMC filter, homemade switchable TRE. That's it. I weigh 160 - 165 not suited. I bought the bike new in 05' and this was the 2nd time I drag raced it. Original factory clutch with 10,500 miles on it. I think I could have gone 9.70s, but knew I had to ride it home so I stopped making passes on it. Total of 8 passes. I wish I had made a couple of more in hindsight....oh well. I have a Brock Alien Head full system for an 07'- 08' GSX-R 1000 if anyone is interested. I bought used in excellent condition for $625.00, and that's what I want out of it. I called Brock's tech line before purchasing it, to see if it would fit my 05'. I evidently talked to a new employee who misinformed me and said that it would work, but it doesn't.

Good luck with that goal BJonesy, low 9's on stock motor and wheelbase is a tough task. But it is definitly do-able....let me know when you hit your goal....I have a 2008 gsxr1000 that will get the turbo. I can't run turbo on my 04 cause I would basically have to undo all the motor work I have done so its just smarter to N.O.S. her, my 08 is stock so the turbo will be going on her in 2011. I'll have the best of both worlds!!!!

Man that sounds nice, Hmm which drag do I want to race today :?: NOS or TURBO . I'll definatly post it when or if I do it, probably not to soon though. I'll go air shifter ect. ect. to try to get there. I just dont want to be that newbie that thinks he can race so he throws a turbo on his bike and totals it. I figured ill learn the bike in and out first.

I agree with you 100% that's what I'm doing now I'm running both as is until I have hit my wall and can't go any quicker. Then at that point I'll throw in the goodies....plus its nice to see the what the add-ons do performance wise. If you put them on too early then you never really know how much is your skill and how much is the add-on. So far my best on the 08' is 9.89 foot shiting, the only mod on my 08 is a brock's full exhaust power commander (but not tuned), 46 teeth in the rear at 61" wheel base. I wanna see how fast I could get her to run foot shifting before I put the CO2 shifter so I can see how much it helped me....

Exactly, My best so far is 9.81@143 stock wheel base, pc3 tuned, -1+3 gears, lowered as far as I can get it with stock header and oil pan, and a slip on yoshi that I cut at my house. BUT the key is that I only weigh 145 suited.

What mod's do you have in your 1K? Here are the number's from my best pass so far on my 2004 1K.
r/t---.151
60'---1.607
330---4.136
1/8---6.189@119.63mph
1000---7.978
1/4---9.524@144.64
I noticed that compared to your slip I got a better 60' but you landed a quicker 1/8 mile time at a lower mph? Just curious as to what you have done to your bike performance wise? I weigh 190lbs suited....

this was the first time out with the new combo...i havent rode this bike or any other stock wb 1k for that matter in over 2 years. motor has stock intake cam/04 750 intake on exhaust.(105.5 &108 centerlines)750 springs head has been flat milled .015 with stock gasket stock bottom end with balancer shaft still in place. has all short stacks, no filter at the track, 2 pcIII's and a dynojet wideband.this bike always backhalves good. gearing is 17/44. only kicker was a/f was 11.6-11.8 at wot. didnt do much tuning on it at the track just trying to get some seat time. i weighed 170-175 suited this weekend. bike has more in it..just got to get back comfortable with it. mine usually traps 149-153 in the 1/4...and has been 124.8 best ever in the 8th.

Thats really good mph, I have yet to see 146mph and have only hit 145mph once. I can't seem to get passed 144mph range? I'm currently geared at 16/45. I broke three teeth on my rear sprocket so I need to order a new rear, I'm gonna go with a 44 to see how that effects my mph at the end. Forgive my ignorance but is that good to be at that a/f ratio? If not what should you be at ideally? So your not spraying anything? And are you footshifting?
