Sold the busa, bought a 1000 (pic)

In 2004 I bought the brand new zx-10r.  Sold that and owned two hayabusa's after.  I was on my way to buy my third busa when i came across this awesome deal. A buddy of mine was selling his 2005 gsxr1000 for 5g's.  I told him i would give him 4 so he called the bank and they said they would do it, so i bought it.  Damn this bike is fun.  It has a scorpion slip on and powercommander.  He had all the clutch springs and plates replaced and new tires, lowered an inch and some aftermarket rearsets.  I think he said it dyno'd at 168, probably a happy dyno.  Anyway, this bike is soo much fun and might be faster then the busa's i've previously owned.  Im having way more fun on it then I was the busa, not that anything was wrong with the busa.   I will post pics later, VIVA LOS 1000

Yep my 1000 is faster than my busa at the track! And I also think it's more fun than my busa BUT I am also 5' 6" and 140 lbs so naturally it's easier for me to ride. U still have a busa? Cause u said u had 2 then bought the K, u didn't say if u still had both of them or not.

Oh i'm sorry, I meant to say I have owned two busa's in my life, one after the other, I just have the 1k now.  Im not even sure if i'd ride the busa if I had it, maybe to go on long trips or to show off.  People love hearing you say you have a busa.

168 I  would say is a happy dyno  for a 05 with a slip on. They do make good power  for sure :thumb:

I have almost the same story.  Bought the 05 zx10 new in 05, road raced it a few years.  Sold it and bought the busa and turboed it in the last few months, now I am wanting to sell it and do a nitrous 1k.  Just waiting for the magic $4k 05-06 gsxr to pop up.

don't worry it happens to the best of us. I have to sell my busa now cause I have 2 kids and twins on the way. So I need a suburban or something of that nature. Good thing I have 2 bikes  :wink:
