2004 GSX-R1000:

Start of the build:
Fireball Coatings ceramic coated the piston domes for better heat dissipation and to help prevent damage from detonation:



special dry moly lubricant is applied to the piston skirts to help prevent scuffing and wear, especially on cold startups:


high end Crower I-Beam connecting rods should withstand the abuse from the nitrous


These are saved for the next motor build, JE turbo/nitrous pistons with 9.5:1 compression and 3mm over at 1070cc

But to recap.... did you not install a ported head, after market cams and an aftermarket pipe?


So basically its setup all for spray?

You gonna post up the ETs after you run it?

A friend of mine went 8.95@154 on his 07 1070 bike last night in horrible weather(+2000 da).....  I still want to do a 1070 for mine.....

Yes it's setup all for spray. The head is stock aside from the Carpenter springs and it just has a Hotbodies pipe. I'm also concentrating on making it go fast with the chassis while trying not to stress the motor too much, although it's built to take a decent hit.
