K6 Suzuki Cams
« on: August 30, 2009, 12:29:54 PM »
Hey Guys, I have a friend that put together a 06 1000 suk.  It's really down on power.  He has Weisco pistons, Head was done locally and made good power on another bike. The cams are 400/340's.  Are these cams good?  What should they be degreed at? Any help appreciated.

Thanks

You need to get more into specs then  just asking if they are  good  cams. What do you mean  the motor is  down on power  please put tell us  what kinda  numbers it is making. What was the head ported for? other mods like   pipe and so on let us know what your build is and i will help you as well as i can. is it a drag bike or what? :thumb:

He has weisco 2 mil, 13:5:1 compression pistons. He has a thin head gasket. The cams are 400/340's. They are degreed at 105/107. The head was ported with 2 intake cams on another motor that made high 170's. The motor he put it on made 156 stock it made 159 after. The bike has 2 powercommanders and a brock sidewinder. It is a street bike but gets a lot of track time. Sorry if I missed anything.

Could be the tuner or the dyno.

The bike runs the same on the track. It was dynoed on the same dyno.  We are going to try the 400 and a intake on the exhaust side.  If it doesn't work we are going to try to intake cams.  Thanks for the help guys.  If anybody else has a suggestion please let me know.  :thumb:
