Once I pull the front down on a drag bike, if I like the amount of travel can I just leave it like that or do I need to release it to trailer it back and forth?

release it..easier on everything,and if you dont,watch you dont bottom out going into trailer/truck

release the strap mine gets stuck going on the trailer plus it puts a constant load on the fork springs
