gearing question

i finally went 9.00 last night and was wondering what kind of advice gearing wise or otherwise you big guys think will help me get into the 8's

gearing is 17/44 and im at about 66'' wb

goes through the traps at the top of fourth.

also what kind of shock settings do you guys go with? i have it pretty soft but not all the way.

hom much do you weigh? i run 17/45 and go through in 6th gear. i weigh 330-340 suited. im running a stock shock an have been a 9.03. we're both so close to the 8,s. good luck to you.

I weigh 245 in street clothes. stock shock as well. im gonna try the 17/45 wedensday and see.

16-45 here at 230 plus suited. Stock motor and shock. 5.5 over........1.4 60s.

i'm 200 unsuited, running 16/46 making 180 hp on motor. Traps top of 5th with a 9.05. You should at least be trapping top of 5th gear in 1/4.
