Try a fan toggle switch, if that don't work get an extra fan. Have you tried wetter water? I was a skeptic but tried it and it lowered my temp 10 degrees or so.

richen up your idle to around 12.5 as well.a toggle switch is just wired across the temp switch and flick it if your in traffic,2 fans works good but is a bit of a pain with clearance issues when fitting 2 fans.Forget dropping the headers with the radiator in place after that.

If all you did was knock off 20 from the head and its heating up...my bets on you getting a little head gasket seepage heating her up.  Did you surface grind both the head and the cyclinders before you put her back together?   You getting any bubles in your overflow?

Wells TU-197

You have to cut the connector off

I know a guy with two fans that has a rcc switch relocator with the tu197 turning on one fan
and the stocker the oem fan

Someone was telling me yesterday that you could swap the stock fan switch with one from a Suzuki quad runner and it turns the fan on at a lower temp.

The problem was that he could not remember what model they were sourcing it from.
I've yet to see a decent JE piston.  All the ones that have come through my door are big heavy clunky items.

spdingtkts love your quote about JE!!!
when i worked on the fuel car we got a batch of pistons that they cut the ring grooves with the tool for the uncoated pistons so when they coated them they were about 4k tight...blew up alot of shit before we noticed that!

The product water wetter you can get at advanced auto and auto zone. we use to use it in our comp car and it worked wonders!

Here ya go!!! This is from a Honda Accord, the part number is 37760-P00-003, but you have more than one option.

Honda - $40 (+/-)
An alternative parts store - $12-20
The bone yard - Potentially free!

does this honda part plug directly into the stock connector or do you have to cut the wires?

The Honda part does NOT plug into the stock connector, you have to cut the wires and splice in the proper plug (or terminals)

I use the Honda part, I love it. It turns on the fan much earlier than the factory sensor.
