If the gixxer rear disc is the same as the gen2, then I'd say that be the way to go. But then again, it might be the left to right spacing, instead up the up and down spacing, that might by why you don't see gen 2's running around with 1k wheels. But anything is possible.  :D take one for the gen2 team!  :hys:  :thumb:

Oh yeah i will let you how they fit and what all i have to do. first i have to start hacking on my swingarm now that its all apart. once im done hacking and welding on swingarm then i will start to fit the wheels on!  :thumb:

You're going to run e85?  If so, take advantage of it and bump up the compression, especially since you're going intercooled!  I wish there was an easy way to go 10:1 with shelf parts.  Even 11:1 if intercooled.

Well here is an update of what all im doing now! Got the frame and swingarm powder coated gloss black!




Went to RCC fuel rail and 85lb injectors with 2 pumps. a walbro and an 044! Im shooting to break the 500hp mark with e85! So i upgraded the turbo to the .82 t3t4e 60 trim bb turbo as to still fit the header. A/W plenum, carillo rods, woessner pistons, crank lightened and balanced by APE, ss valves, 65lb valve springs, main studs n head studs, hd shift shafts, gen1 shift forks and eventually a slider clutch!

it sill need alot of fuel flow to do that. Can be done with 2 pumps, but I assume it is an in tank walbro feeding the 044 for space reasons.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

Yep because rob Kelly only made 450 with an aerotive big pump! I already had both pumps before starting to shoot for e85. I was using the walbro for up to about 9psi. Then found a good deal for a genuine Bosch 044 for when I was going to only for 500hp with just race gas and didn't need the fuel as much. Thus I'm going to use them both in conjunction by a hobbs switch at 10psi+ to make sure I'm getting as much fuel flow as I can! According to my math it might get to maybe 650hp while using e85 and that's not if my 1130cc's of injectors per cylinder runs out first! That's why I'm building the crap out of the fuel system!

I believe you have more tuning capabilities and can control more things via the ecu like raising the rev limiter and removing the speed restriction, just to name a few.

It is certainly less cost, but also, less on the bike (injectors, fuel rail, extra fuel lines, secondary computer, etc).  If you are building from scratch, it is likely the way to go. If you already have a working secondary setup, probably not going to see any differences to go to internal.

Current downside is the limit on boost being that of a 3 bar sensor. The groundwork for a 5 bar sensor option is on place, just not implemented into the code. Also, tuning can be a long process as it is not able to be done without powering down and re-flashing, rather than reflashing on the fly.

good explanation, I'm also guessing it is most beneficial on a GEN 2 due to having the 8 injector ect.? I don't understand how all the ECU internals work but I'm assumming they work as reliable flashed as they come from the factory. Def an incentive to turbo a GEN 2. I like both the GEN 1 and GEN 2 equally so it wouldn't matter to me but I do like the fact of having less stuff on the bike
