The basic kit for a turbo for the street is a "ghetto kit" as these guys call it  :thumb:

Depends on how much power you want to make now or in the future?
The power output goes from around 250bhp upwards to say 500 bhp for the street.
Keeping it real for street use without too much hard work running it ?... I`d say around 250 to 300 bhp would be about right.

Once you have done all the engine work you`ll no doubt want to do other things like upgrade the brakes, upgrade the clutch,
change the wheelbase, lower the bike etc.

It all revolves around bucks !! With an exponential increase of bucks to power !!!
I have no more sh*ts to give.

No such thing.
Each bike build is totally different, an individual creation.
The choice of parts and list of potential modifications are unlimited !

You have to work your own specification out  :thumb:

You can buy a bog standard ghetto kit, but all works from then on are your choosing.

I strongly recommend you wait and while and watch what other people have done on the site.
Take your time and formulate your own spec. :thumb:

How much power do you want and what all do you plan to do with the bike? Do you want a street bike or a dual street/strip or all out drag bike?

With the price of complete bikes right now, You'd probably be better off buying one of those. Seems liek they can be had for 11-12K pretty readily right now with streetable setups like you are looking for.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

On this Board, there is a good instruction to install a "Ghetto Kit" at your Busa.

The kit is not so expensive.
Good turbo start for a beginner.  :D

dont forget about the parts to upgrade the motor...pistons, rods, etc.   And then all the extra electronics..power commander, microtec, airshifter, ams-1000.  You could easily have 6000 or more wrapped up in just that stuff.  Do you see where this is leading?  It never ends.  Are you sure you want to take that journey?

hey what about the turbo kit...haha damn i forgot all the otehr stuff you just mentioned. Yes buying a used busa would be a much better idea then building one from scratch

U dont have to have Rods/pistons/AMS1000 and all that other stuff if you want a reliable 300HP street/strip bike....the stock pistons/rods and a simple 50 dollar boost controller will serve u well as long as the tune is good.....With the prices on some really nice turbo bikes I have been seeing u are WAY better off just buying one done or almost done but if you want to build your own thing I can definitly understand that as well. GL and any way u go about this still means one thing.........GET A SECOND AND THIRD JOB NOW! :hys: :thumb:

Hi 8) I'm currently rebuilding a Busa. If you have patience and time is not a factor then you can get your notebook out and plan each portion, i.e. engine rebuild parts, bodywork, suspension, etc. I'm not rich but over the span of three years or so I've put about $7000 into mine during the planning and parts gathering phase, now comes the fun part of putting it all together! Good luck! There are tons of past posts on here you can get great info from, i.e. small airbox mod and the like.
