What's your WEIGHT!
« on: October 21, 2009, 06:59:45 AM »
I have a industrial floor scale at my job so I decided to weigh in my 2004 GSXR1000. I have weight modifications, the right front caliper and rotor are removed and pm revolution race wheels on the bike. She weighed in at 415lbs with 1gallon of fuel in it sitting on 60" wheelbase. I have a Hindle aluminum exhaust and 530 chain and sproket. So what's your WEIGHT?

Wow I would of thought she would weigh right around 400. What do they weigh stock, do u know? im curiouse cause my 03 is pretty much stock -mirriors,-plastic undertail, and -rear foot pegs. I'm about to take my front caliper off as well, but that is a decent estimate for me I guess. 1 more ? do u think u added any weight when u extended it, and did u replace swingarm or just put extensions on. Sry for the 21 Q's.

Actually I did weigh her in previous to the extensions and weight mod's. Her weight was 434lbs, that was at stock wheelbase high mount micron slip on and both front rotors. The one thing I don't remember was how much gas was in the tank at the first weigh in? And the extensions are welded on, only guessing but the longer chain and swingarm ext. probably added 2 to 4lbs tops. I also have a tiger tail aluminum undertail, it runs from the light all the way to the begining of the subfram. Not sure how much weight that added but I know it's heavier than the plastic that was there before.

cool thread...I'm trying to think of a place to weight my bike and then me on it. I know a place that has truck scales but its hard to get on them without them coming out screaming at you....kinda retarded as shit that they don't wont your 600lbs on weight on the scales but its cool to let the gazillion pound trucks ride up on them

402! Damm that's good, especially if you figure that each gallon on fuel is roughly 6-7lbs, that puts you under 400lbs with 1 full gallon of fuel, and no weight mod's! I'm gonna weigh my 08 on Wed...... I know that as the years go on the weight comes down so we'll see how heavy the 08 is compared to my 04.

at the time my bike was set up at 3 inch clearance for prostar 1000ss...it had milled head, degree'd cams, short stacks, bmc race filter,pc3 and the brock megaphone...(started out with a ti arata) brock's picked it up about a tenth and about 3mph .....now its set up totally different....milled the head more...stock intake cam..04 750 intake on exhaust 750 springs, self ported head, and its slammed way lower...gearing before was 16/44  now its 17/43 which is prob still too much. only testing will tell. and on the 9.49 i think i went a 1.59  6.22 121.xx 9.49@151 dont rem the 330 or 1000' thinking the 330 was 4.1-4.2 range
