I tried to call him this evening to see if he was gonna run. I honestly can not see him not running, this stuff is in his blood. I will be suprised if he misses this event. I will see him at our club banquet on Saturday so I will talk to him then.

Why are you not running a bike?

I may run a 30 or 40 shot of NOS to try and get me over the 200 mph hump. The bike has been 185 mph at El Mirage, I am sure traction alone will get into the 190's, but I don't know if my 170 hp is enough to go 200. So, I'll add NOS and make around 200 horse and do my best to make a clean pass.

Hey Scott,

Mine's not really set up for it(nothing safety wired),plus i never got around to getting a full set of leathers,etc....and just had the motor rebuilt after toasting some pistons.

I can't see John Boy not running either,i'm off Friday so may ride over over to his house and bug him/see what's up.

Jeff, you work 4 / 10's or a 9 / 80 schedule ?

I'm on a 9 / 80 schedule now . . .

Every other Friday off.

4 / 10's is better.

I will be out there spectating and meeting everyone.  I would invite everyone to come by the shop on Friday ( only 20 miles from Mojave ), but I will be at Fomosa for the March Meet.

Hey James,

Just checked their site and don't think there's any admission fees for spectators.Looks as if the event kicks off around 9:00 AM Sat.,we're leaving here(Orange)around 6:00 AM so should get there in time.

See all of you there,
Jeff

(gonna keep an eye on the weather, not even gonna mention that damned "R" word )

Hey Jeff, how's it going? I am gonna call the sponsors and ask about admission on Monday. I will post what I find out. And I think I am gonna leave outta here about 630 or 7. And I hope we don't get anymore of that horrible "r" word! I look forward to meeting some new people at the event. See you all there.

OK so I called the sponsor today and got the following info for spectators:
1) there is no fee to spectate
2) if you want to spectate you must sign a waiver and get a wrist band. Sign ups are going to be held at the Mariah Inn all day Friday and from 7-8am on Sat. Then at the entrance to the event you will sign in and get a wrist band.

We've been gettin' dumped on this spring,so far(since Nov.)i think it's rained out every scheduled event i wanted to attend(other than the Winternationals at Pomona last month). Now they're callin' for a 30% chance this Sat.,naturally the Mojave Mile event is scheduled for Sat. only.
