Busa questions,need help

 Got a 04 usa here and was running it on dyno,all was good until 40% and then it puked smoke. Pulled it off and pulled airbox to run comp test. Plugs looked decent,comp was down in #1--if that is on alt side,rest were 190-200. That one was 170 but jumped to 190 with a squirt of oil. Then noticed the airbox is full of oil---- and slight oil leak at line to cam tensioner.

Smoke out the pipe= not good.  Oil in air box= not good.  Low compression on only 1 cylinder, ya might have something melted.  See if ya can get a bore scope and take a look at the top of the piston.  The fact that oil makes the compression come up, indicates the problem is the piston or rings.

OK, did leakdown and it was good,so started looking elsewhere---and found the darn thing was way!!!! overfilled with oil. Customer said it had been serviced recently at dealer. Could have saved alot of fiddling if I had checked--oh well,lesson learned.

Duh. I didn't think of that.  Glad it was something simple.

Me too,have that problem with the Harleys and Buells so should have thought of it.

huh i thought harleys and buells just leaked a lot of oil.
