spark plug question ?????
« on: March 12, 2010, 11:35:04 AM »
hayabusa and other bikes use ngk cr9e plugs which are 5K ohm resistanse correct?

what if any advantage is there to go to a non resistor type plug and can one be used on the busa coil pack with no damage and if it can be used, can you use it with nitrous also

Thanks for any help or comments

The resistance of the plug really doesn't matter as long as the internal resistance is lower than that of the spark plug gap.

Do not run non-resistor plugs.  They make a lot of electrical noise, and do strange things with the ecu sensors and electronics.

I ran non resistors. Bike ran fine, but they made my kill box act weird. Stick with resistors.
