GenII with GenI body parts.
« on: April 01, 2010, 02:51:18 PM »
If there is a thread covering this, forgive me... there are so many that came up in the search I thought someone might be able to give me a quick "What-up" answer.  I have a 2005 Hayabusa that I recovered after it was stolen and stripped of its engine/transmission.  The bike was recovered however with all its bodywork left intact.   I have the opportunity to buy a dropped 2009 Busa for $3800 that all the bodywork is pretty much hosed.  The tail is good, just scratched.  However... it has less than 100 miles on it as it was being ridden by someone from the dealership when it was wrecked.  So I am buying this bike with the open MSO=New Bike!

Is there much difficulty in swapping all the 2005 bodywork onto the 2009?

I might just keep the 2009 tail and if not I will probably just swap the 05 and re-pin the taillight assembly.  Is there a way to mount the 09 instrument bezel within the 05 front headlight fairing?

Thanks!!
