1397 pistons and bore?
« on: April 17, 2010, 02:45:25 PM »
Heys guys I'm little stumped, I bought a 1397 cylinder head (84mm) and JE pistons +rings for a 1441 setup. The problem is that I saw a 83MM stamp inside the piston. Is this correct for this setup?

I thinks thats the smallest that the forging can go to.   I see that on a lot of pistons an 84 on an 85 piston  But as long as it measures 84 its 84

Knecum your right!! Per JE's website : Forging # : This number ONLY identifies the raw forging that was used to manufacture the piston. A large variety of bore sizes, compression heights and other design features can be applied to a single forging.
