LoL,I don't bullshit for one and two my Gps is accurate.I luv how everyone has a theory about what is possible but hasn't gone out and done it themselves to find out, then someone does and they tell the person it can't be. I also ran a 9.57 at the drag strip in Lebanon,NY,which is 2000ft above sea level on my 01 showroom stock, pipes, air filter,no fuel, lowered and geared, people said that's not possible so it must not be,whatever. If I get a helmet cam I would gladly post the video, but until then a pic of my Gps max speed will have to do,I don't have a Ferrari so how else would that 197mph get there, lol.I'm 5'4 and weight 165lbs and I've done a lot of drag racing over the years and top speed passes, that's how it happens. Why don't you just call me a liar for pete sakes,WTF!

Here is a picture of a 09 busa....184hp stock filter, Ti-force Full Ti system...that Ryan S tuned.  This run was about 1 mile flat surface about 3am on a cool night.  I have ran the same speed maybe 8-10 times now and at 192mph...your at the back side of the cams where you loose HP.  If you look at 99.9% of every single dyno chart...you can clearly see power drop at 10,500 -10,600 on a piped Busa.  If your saying your spinning 11,600 I would like to know how your making more power then 99.9% of the Busa's out there that are running stock cam wheels..and cams.  It's not that the busa won't run 200mph ....it's just hard to see that happening with the smaller tire...and or stock gears and staying in the power band of the cams.  As any engine builder..and all will tell you that the power does not continue past 10,600....so how can speed increase if power is going down?

Just questions ...because again...look at dyno charts....all drop off at 10,500 on stock cams with stock timming....

Dyno

09 Stock Busa...with Full Ti-force pipe, Amsoil 20/50 oil, ECU edit and Pair block off plates, stock air filter etc.  The bike simply has the pipe, flash and pair removed...  It went back after this run for a retune...to work on the low end more...remove top end restrictor again and pulled 184hp and 107 TQ....96F ...high humidity and heat soaked....aka real life power...

I understand everything your saying,I have had all my busa's dyno tuned and understand power curves, not disputing the facts. I can't explain it,but my bike went 197mph on GPS,I'll post a pic tomorrow. My bike put up 187hp and 107 ftlbs of torque,it has an Akro Carbon Race Only pipe,K&N Air Filter and stock gearing,Michelin Pilot tires same profile as stock ones. How heavy are you? The more you weigh and riding position with top speed runs is huge.

I'm about 210ish...and true on the statement...I've ran 204.9 on my old 2000 built busa and tuck is important etc...  Do you have a pic of your dyno chart also you can post?

Thanks,
M

Some GPS models require a long time to record a top speed, so if you top out 6th then back off the true top speed will not be recorded.

yeah true...maybe I've been letting off early....but, question maybe 8 runs of consistent 192mph...  Who cares...it's fast ...and like he stated...many will never run the bike on the big end like others.  Personally...I love tripple digit high speed runs  =0)

When I went to Maxton back in 02 the record for a Gen1 busa was 192mph stone stock, cams, pipes, airfilter, gearing, not sure why you are only running what a Gen1 does at Maxton, look it up on their website,is their trap computers broken too. Like I said my 01 went 188mph in the heat and wicked humidity,it only made 161hp on the dyno in 70 degree weather. We had my 01 on the dyno in 85 degree heat with high humidity and the bike was down 8hp,so lets say it was making 154hp in Maxton with that heat and humidity, the bike still went 188mph. My point being why would you think the Gen2 cant run 197mph,on GPS, with 187hp and more torque, even if the power curve flatens out and drops abit your still well above 155hp of the Gen1,same weight mind you, totally possible. There were stock motored Gen1's with just a pipe running 195mph,so they were doing that with 168hp,the Gen2 has 20hp more, don't see the problem here.

Gearing /tire combo.  Like I said .. I ran 204.9 in front of 50 guys on my 2000 but it was geared for it.  Just get us proof and end the drama .... End of story then :-)

LoL,your comparing your 210lb body at whatever height to my 5'4" 165lbs body for top speed runs, you probably need 10hp more to run what I run. Here's alittle story for you, when I was at maxton I ran 188mph stone stock, for the 5th time, lol. Well, there was a guy there running a 01 with the intake cam mod,he said the bike made 175hp on the dyno, and he could only muster up 176mph,so he sees me run my 188mph and says how the hell is your stock bike running that speed. I looked up at the man with the are you serious look, the guy was 6'2 and 260lbs,and I said I'm sprout and your the jolly green giant, your just too big, lol,so he then asked me to make a pass on his bike and I went 195mph,the guy was ecstatic, weight and tuck is huge. Your clutch hand off the bar tucked in on top of the tank once in 6th gear, toes tucked up and in,elbows against the tank, butt back against the bubble, rolling your back to make it more round forming to the bubble, chin smashed into the tank, all I feel is the air rolling of my back, you have to disappear! That's the way I do it.

When you dyno a bike you strap down the front and the rear as we all know, which compresses the rear tire making it a smaller circumference, but when your traveling down the road at top speed in the real world the tire is swelling up abit increasing the circumference of the tire. I would think that is possibly why on the dyno you were only able to get a 196mph top speed and I recorded a top speed of 197mph,just a theory. You can see what my gps reads so you have your theory and I have my recorded gps top speed, done till spring when I post my video going 197mph. Merry Christmas!!

You have a comment for everything I guess, maybe your gps is off, lol. If you think the top speed of the Gen2 with a pipe, making it 25lbs lighter than a Gen1 with stock pipes, making 185 plus hp is 192mph your crazy, like I said a SHOWROOM STOCK GEN1,stock pipes, airfilter, gear that makes 155 to 160hp,and has the same power curve, has the record at Maxton of 192mph,LOOK IT UP! I guess your gonna tell me Maxtons trap speeds are off next, lol. You can contest all you want but you don't make sense, maybe you can't go faster than 192mph on piped Gen2 is all,the gearing will allow it you just can't do it,so go to Maxton yourself and find out.I been there and seen what they run, look it up on their website fo the last time.

I actually have 18,000 miles on my bike presently, most of carving up the back roads in Northern CT,NH and VT and alway's at well over legal speeds, lol. I enjoy carving up the corners at some insane speeds, especially when I'm riding with 1ks cause they just don't think the busa handles, then SURPRISE!!! lol.

I think wiki was reporting 196 on Gen II, and the 192.7 or whatever on the gearing commander wouldn't be all telling for the Gen II because it does have a higher limit and that limit can be adjusted up slightly without using an ecu editor. Still 196 is a feat. And dood you weigh 100 lbs less than me  :hys:

Well I for 1 believe the bike easily acheived those speeds. Well not easily but did it. Look what Gotbusa has done with his and nothing more done to it than this bike. Why argue it?????? Dont make sense. He ran 197 but honestly that sucks! Thats right sucks!! Dont come back here Mr. till u have 200 showing on your gps. Dont embarass us Busa owners with measily 197mph passes :bah:

Have a Merry Christmas!!

I think once I raise my limiter breaking 200mph wont be a problem. Pat did he degree his cams, change his gearing or run any oxygenated fuel? What is his beat top speed so far?

Dont think so on cam degreeing. Gearing possibly but he did it at maxton and it was 194 in standing mile and he has 75#s on you and a few inches. Pump gas im almost possitive.
