BKING POWER
« on: June 16, 2010, 10:17:20 PM »
Will a bking with a brock pipe make the same power as a 2nd gen busa with the same pipe after tuning(like an alienhead system)

Not unless you do something with that AWFUL airbox.

Its way to small and very restrictive.
If you drillmore holes its better but removing it altogether got me almost 10 hp in one pull ( 10 over the already modified airbox, god knows over a stock one )
I dont know what I am talking about but I do know that I am right :)

Yep if you do the work as described by Yngve.

My King with brock pipe and airbox mod made .1 hp less than a Gen11 Busa with Brock pipe.

Both tuned by good operator on the same dyno with almost identical conditions.

I think the numbers were right around 203.9 and 204 hp.

This dyno seems to read a bit optimistically but the important thing here is the direct comparison.

Air box and good pipes really wake up the BKing

The first dynotest is with only slip on.

My 202 is with a LIGHT headwork, 1507, LOW compression ( around 12-1 ( KILLS the hp but good for longevity) ), std cams, TiForce Sumo exhaust, pump gas ( lowest octane available ) and MOTTY AFR tuner ( 56 psi fuel pressure ).

That engine is made to LIVE.
I dont know what I am talking about but I do know that I am right :)

Mine bone stock motor, like I said the numbers are higher than others show but the comparison is the telling factor.
