Just 2nd gear doing this?   Is it slipping or feel like it is going in and out of gear rapidly?   How many miles on the bike?

Any noises associated with this?

All the other gears good?

Have somebody who is familiar with what trans problems feel like check it out, before ya take it all apart not knowing what is wrong.

If it is only in 2nd gear more than likely it is a transmission problem, probably going to need both sides of 2nd gear and the shift fork, tear it down before you order parts and take a look at the rest of the transmission.

i had the same EXACT problem on my busa..i took it in to the dealer since it was only 6 months old, and they found that the dogs were worn on second gear so it was jumping around when under a load.which is why they didn't cover it under warranty, but anyways yea, definitely a transmission problem and it needs to come out of the bike and replaced..i also had the shift forks replaced at the same time as a precaution
drive it like a rental...

They all do it sooner or later.  Put an undercut 2nd/6th in and no more problem.

New shift forks, and billet shift shafts too.
