wont shift at 120 spray......please help
« on: July 11, 2010, 05:25:00 AM »
Hi,
when I spray at 80 shot, everything works ok and it shifts properly without any problems.
When I spray more than 80 I start having a problem with shifting.
It sounds like the actual engine does not cut out and keeps on load.

Pls help

I assume it is more difficult to shift the upper gears?
How are you killing the engine for the shifting?
What work is done to your trans?
How much power are you making on motor?
what is your wheelbase?
What clutch setup?
What tire?
How is the track prep on the top end?
What method are you using to add fuel?

I know there are alot of questions, but I just went through this. There are alot of variables that can cause it not to shift. Hit the quote button and add the answer at the end of each lne for best results :-)

Hmmm....Seems like you already have most of the bases covered. We noticed on ours that it required 80ms to shift, 70 ms with ecu kill was intermittent in 6th.

Any chance the tire or clutch is slipping on top?

how long ago did you flash or update your ecueditor?
Last year at this time, a problem was discovered with ecu shift having shorter kill times in higher gears then what was programed.  People with High Hp 450+ could only see it.  I took my trans/cases out because of it.
Most likely not it, but you never know.

No it's not slipping the clutch or the tire. So, do you think that I need to delay more and make it 80ms to shift?
