Hey guys I have a 06 1k with 32,000 miles. I bought the bike new in July of 06. Just recently my bike wouldn't start. After testing the battery and other components, I took the starter out. The starter would spin when on the bench but I noticed it smelled a little burnt. So I took the starter apart and it smelled really burnt. I was even able to shake out some metal shaving out of it. My question is is it normal for them to smell or is my starter smoked.
