you may have to jack it up a bit to take the weight off, but it sounds like it's just torqued on tight or maybe locktight.   put a cheater bar on your ratchet

Can of worms there dude.think what you ultimately want to acheive with the bike, where and how
often you want to ride it.be realistic with yourself not fairytales, then state your desires for it and people
can tell you what to do and what not to do to best acheive your result AND DONT CHANGE YOUR MIND

I use the bike as an everyday summer driver aprox 3-4 k miles A season.  I do adventally want to try the texas mile.  What I would like from the bike is to still be dependable yet have the ability to do the ocasional 1/4 mile or top speed run.

i myself would send tranny to carolina cycle they have a exchange program give them yours they ship you back a refurbished one under cut and all and charge you according to what was wrong with yours, you could get HD shaft if you wanted or just stock but most stock shafts crack even though you cant see it --they did mine a few years ago i havent had a problem since i went w/HD shaft---mine was popping out of 1st gear
