What gearing should I use?

I'm gonna see how fast I can go with about 450-475hp. What kind of gearing should I use for the standing mile? I weigh 220 in full gear and I'm 6'2". My tuck WILL be better this time. lol
Any input is appreciated!

Stock transmission gearing. I'd like to stay close to the stock rpm limit. I can give or take a little.

Just bring a couple sprocket carriers.  :wink:
I used to drag race cars a lot and I got to the point where I was tweaking the car all day. I'm trying to keep it simple...and enjoyable. lol

18/38 should be 225 @10800, 229@11000.

I used to

Aren't you on your 2nd major upgrade since turbo bike purchase? 
You're gonna be pissed if you blow through the rev limiter in 6th on the first day.

19/38 will get you 225mph at 10,720rpms(ball park.. :P )  That is real numbers, not spreadsheet BS....

With 475hp IF you can get it to bite you can run WAAAAYY more gearing....  A 20t front is probably as big as you will get under the sprocket cover.  Then run maybe a 36 or 37t rear..... That should get you enough for close to 240mph I would guess....atleast 235mph..

A friend of mine ran 245 at Bonneville with 20/37 and about 300HP.

Yeah exactly... :thumb:   475hp is good for 250mph+....  He will run out of gear WAY before he runs out of power.  Really need OD gears for over 235 ish.... You could run 235 with 350hp or less...theoretically anyway....You know how it really is in the real world.  Things are never as they "should" be....

No extended limiter!! Gearing chart says 20/36 at 10,800 is 264. I dont know what gear he was running.

I'm gonna stick with stock internals in the transmission, but I'll be taking a few different sprockets. I'm thinking 19, 20, 36 and 38. I'll also have a spare chain, links, etc. Thoughts?
