08 1k dash problems

I'm posting this for a friend, but he brought his bike by my house today for me to look at his bike. The digital read out on the bike dosent work, nor does the back light, ofthe tac.  We swapped the dash with another 1k and it works. I'm checking to see if anyone else has had this problem before, and how it was fixed. Thanks

Know anyone who works on electronics  :?: Could be as simple as a cold solder joint

take off left fairing and see if the main harness for the dash is connected all the way  :wink:
