Good news! They found his bike and his parents bought it back!
Here is the note from Trudy:
"Hi Dan, Yes, Rod would like to reply. But I'm not sure how to do this.
If you want to let everyone know that he is doing about the same. His speech hasn't come back and he's still paralyzed in his right arm. But he is very independent. With help from his friends, we were able to locate his bike and buy it back from the seller. The seller understood the ex-wife had sold it and Rod really wanted it back. My parents bought it for Rod so he could try to stay motivated to get well.. He lost so much. His health, his wife, his house, his job, etc. But he is doing well. Just wish he could talk to us and communicate. But he's very good at gesturing with his one arm and acknowledging with his head shakes. My parents are taking real good care of him.
Thank everyone for all their prayers and concerns. Rod actively watches your website and seems to be able to read the posts too. In addition to not being able to talk much, he lost his ability to type and spell. So, that is why he hasn't been able to really post much. When he does, sometimes you can udnerstand him.
Thanks again, Dan!
Trudy"
Well, thankfully he has a great family. When all else fails, he can count of that.
If you have a family please take a minute to acknowledge them and let them know how special they are, and that you would do anything for them if needed.
Thanks Trudy, and Rod's parents, for standing up and doing the right thing. We all appreciate you more than you will ever know.
Hang in there big guy, we're all pulling for you!
Dan
