GSXR 750/1000 5 years And going Strong
« on: November 09, 2010, 11:04:18 PM »
I signed up as a member about 5 years ago, but havnt been around much with a marital breakup loosing everything and the only thing I did keep was my old GSXR750/1000 Streetfighter,
My life is on the mend and my bike is still going strong, even though I did blow a motor on a Dyno kicking out numbers close to 155bhp wasnt all bad till the bottom end fell out on number 2 rod,

Since then the GSXR has been goig great but I havnt been back to the DYNO
SPECS
1997 GSXR 750 SRAD rolling chassis
2002 GSXR 1000 Motor
Home Made Laser Cut Sub Frame
Ducati Tail Fin and another cut down for the fly screen
Reworked reupholstered Seat
Titanium stock 1000 Headers with removed Set Valve
Yoshie TRS shortened to 300mm and rebaffled and repacked
1000 clocks and Harness
New Custom Oil Cooller repositioned under the headlights (Actual Chev Transcooler) ANSI lines
SRAD Tank reworked to take 1000 fuel pump
Air Intakes are cut down from a cold airtake system from a honda civic
lots of other stuff ;)
60lbs lighter than the stock GSXR1000
the GSXR srad has a tighter rake and a shorter swinger, than the 1000 which gives it a short chassis and the bike is a wheelie monster.
