Before:  some spare parts

After:  lots more spare parts

Rust Bucket made 265hp on Cheese's dyno in June.

I'm hoping that's enough to get me an A license at World Of Speed in Sept.

I surely could have done this project faster if i'd bought a running bike, but i damn sure learned more by sourcing every nut, bolt, fitting, component, wire, etc separately.
In the end i decided to buy RBR her own plastic.
Colt who did the paint for Greenie, absolutely duplicated Greenie's weird green/purple and did a flawless job in 7 days door to door.
Now i have 2 weird green Busas

Thanks to sooooooooooooooooooooo many people :thumb:
But thanks most of all to Larry Forstall whose knowledge of all things motorcycle is surpassed only by his passion for LSR and his unstinting assistance to one and all.
 :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
(and i've never even met him!)

Thanks Dean!  still got some fiddling to do; going back to stock oil pressure, put numbers on the bike, test airshifter, just lil stuff like that, but basically done.

All I want from WOS is to put my feet on the salt for the 1st time and get my A license.
Next year maybe i'll put my A motor in it and stretch RBR's legs.

Thanks BRM, the cut down tank helps a lot.

I read over on LR.com that Leslie P backed up her PP-1000 record, around 197, congrats  :thumb:

Also the Butler, Pflum & Wagner PP entry may have bumped it up too, not sure when.  :thumb:

Haven't heard about Ryan, Fred, or Joe yet today...  good luck  :tu:

bottom end is same as A motor, but has Jim Gilnack head and bigger TB's.
I'm thinking dyno hp may not be indicative of how it will inhale at 200mph.  :D

I just got in from the salt. Ryan qualified the naked bike at 196.9 , he made a run on the faired bike, Murphy was along for the ride. :bike: I didnt see Joe today, dont know if he made a run or not. Billy Shoemaker qualified his Harley,my fingers really dont want to type that word, :hys:, around 162 or so. Shane San Miguel brought me a shock from Scott Horner's in Salt Lake City. I owe them both big time. We got it installed and we are ready to rock in the morning. I havent heard what is happening with Shane Stubbs or Jason McVicars.

why would you want to go back to stock oil pressure?

18-20 sec out on asphalt LSR tracks oil pressure consistently drops from a steady 80-100psi to 55-60 jagged.  Both A & B motors.
I'm thinking hi oil pressure is bringing sump level down.

Besides, a big expert i trust 110%, and i'm not gonna mention steve's name, suggested that hi oil pressure may not be necessary for my set up.

Thanks for the kind words Karl. :tu: Just wait until you get your feet wet (literally) on the salt flats. If you think high speed pavement is a passion, Salt Fever has no cure. Won't be long; now if I can just get #3 pipe to fit. lol    LSL

Steve, Jack made a shakedown run, I dont remember the details, sorry. Everthing is ok. For some reason Nancy, again crs strikes, Nancy has not made a run, is supposed to run tomorrow. A rain storm just blew through, it was pretty general. i'm thinking that tomorrow may be mush, if they run at all. If it did rain on the course,at all, I probably will not run until Tuesday. I think Murphy jumped in the back of my Suburban in Bulverde. :hys:

Larry,
the next time i pull the exh off greenie, i will carefully note how #3 has to be bent and get someone to do it.
It's a only lil bit off, but it damn sure is wrong, and makes it a PITA to mount the collector.
Good luck.
(if i got it to half-assed fit, ANYONE can do it.  :D)

I just read that the salt is drying fast and RACING IS ON for today  :thumb:

Good luck to all return runs this morning, and all qualifiers today.

Any reports from Shane S on the naked turbo 1650 - also James H on the naked turbo 650?  Looks like they were making license runs Sat.
