March Texas Event
« on: March 28, 2011, 02:13:18 PM »
Ok, here is the the topic that I start after every event.  If you have any complaints, comments, or recommendations on the event.  I know that we are moving to a new home but if you saw anything at all that rubbed you the wrong way, let me know.  I may already know about it but I may not, so please let me know.

This was my first event to particpate in so I dont want to rub any feathers..or tu-tu's...lol  But it seemed like the bikes were having to wait too long to run.
I know there were more cars entered than bikes, but running 10 cars to 3 bikes made it hot sitting in line wating to run.  While in line I watched a couple of cars run then when I got to the front of the line the same car was there again also.  It was straightened out on Saturday afternoon after some complaints, so hopefully it's handled.

Just my worthless .02.  I had a blast and look forward to doing it again :tu:

Have you guys thought about putting a tent over the bike staging area?  I know it might be difficult to do but seems like it would help with the heat since we have no roof and are in hot leathers.

Can you give any info on the new location yet?

I got an email about the town hall meeting.  Any pics or info on the runway surface condition?

Which of the 3 runways will be used?

Bikes on one and cars on another...?

How about a wind meter wind a digtal display visible from the starting line or a set of very bright lights angled so you only see them once you've gone through the speed trap?

The wind meter is a good idea, it wouldn't hurt to put a flag that is large enough to see from the starting line for the time being.

a simple flag or windsock at the starting line would be a huge improvement.
Often wrong, but never unsure!!!!!
