Hayabusa Track bike - from Australia
« on: March 15, 2011, 04:18:25 AM »
G'day!

I've been a member here for many years, but haven't logged on for a while. Thought I'd let you all know that I've gone from bling bling boy to ultra-light track day freak  :tu:

This is what I've created...

...and it all started from this...

Haven't had it weigh yet. Will do after the carbon fairings go on...

Looks like an 08, but it's definitely a 99  :thumb:

Funny you should say that Cookie, because I get approached by plenty of people at the circuits that say:

(a) the Hayabusa is for touring. What are you doing with it on the track?
(b) the Hayabusa is for drag racing. What are you doing with it on the track?

I usually look for those particular people on the track and enjoy passing them around the outside of corners with my knee scrapping past their fairings...

Gen 2 ride height is stock, front and back
Gen1 (mine) ride height is stock in the back, and front is lower, but can't tell you by how much lower than stock as it's a GSXR1000 front end

I use my Hayabusa at the track all the time and the first thing you should do is to raise it in the back. I have also used GSXR1000 front forks but they are to soft ( not hard enough spring ) but the latest 09 arent bad.

The Hayabusa decks out quite easily too :(
I dont know what I am talking about but I do know that I am right :)
