Congratulations to everyone, it was a great weekend. Jen 227+ on her bike and 221+on JC's bike, Karl fastest na bike as usual, Jason and Aaron worked hard all weekend and got er done. Ryan A got in The 200 club on Jens bike, lets see a pic of him in hes pink tu tu. :hys: Ryan O drove a long way to hurt his motor , good to see him and his dad. Billy S and his sidekick Bullitbob rocked, California Kid got his baby shot going good. And lets dont forget our sweetheart Brenda Sue she ran 190+ on a box stock zx 12.
Johnny Cheese did make the last run, I think it was a little over 200.
A good time was had by all. Johnny Cheese built and/or tuned bikes rocked.

Johnny, I'm very glad that you made it. I would not have reached 200 back in 2009 without your help.

I had a great time and always nice to see old Friends and meet new ones. Sorta sad to know we won't be returning and this is an end of an era for the Texas Mile. On the positive I think the move will be good because the event was out growing the Goliad facility. I remember when there were just a few hundred and now the spectators are in the thousands. When I ran the first time in 2005 and went 184MPH on my new Hayabusa - I was the 3rd fastest bike and 9th overall fastest speed. Gee....... how times have changed in a few years.

[/UR

Jen getting ready to make the first run on JC bike with me and Johnny beside her - 221 on the first pass. She had a hard time keeping the front wheel down with the stock wheel base - not very good to have the front wheel up over 200MPH with a cross wind.

I wonder what that guy is thinking - seeing a girl on a Hyabusa with a pink tutu.

Jen heading the wrong direction on her way to a 227MPH run - she must think she is drag racing leaving that aggressively.

Look at Ryan the race director all smiles after making his first 200MPH run

No shame in riding a bike with flowers and wearing a pink tutu to get in the 200MPH Club - Ryan all smiles - between Jen, Ryan and Brenda Sue that pink tutu made a bunch of runs down the mile _ some moments are just priceless

If you are worried about the motor letting go at the Mile, put yr bike on the dyno at constant load for 15 sec or so at 10K rpm.

My dyno guy thought i was crazy to have him hold it 20sec at 11,000 (ZX12), but hey, bikes & cars do it at Bonneville for 4-5 miles.

Yr motor is tougher than you think if it's built & tuned correctly.
Often wrong, but never unsure!!!!!
