wet shot and a stroker????
« on: July 03, 2011, 10:48:05 PM »
Ok guys how much wet can I feed my stroker??? its a 6.25 and I have an 85mm bore. which makes it a bit thin on the cylinders.

What yah reckon we can feed her? they were running a 50 shot of dry. but my new head is set up for wet.. and I might as well give it a go. as you only live once..

Leith, i know sportbike rider broke a 6.25 crank on something like a 150 shot.

i would start out with that same 50 wet, and slowly give it more as you work on the tune up, but just keep in mind that it can break a crank at any time.

The 6.25mm weldup that broke, bit it at 338HP. Made 234hp normally aspirated the same day.
Wet or dry isn't going to matter.  Some people have sprayed WAY more on a weldup without any problems. This was a well used crank, but still, we won't be spraying anything significant on weld-ups in the future. There were no signs of detonation on the motor, we re-used everything (other than the crank of course, bent 2 exhaust valves, and we put new bearings in).
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

Thanks john.

Well I decided to rebuild this head rather than get another one. it has run a 50 shot in the past. but I melted the last motor with a 50 ish shot of dry. so was thinking of longevity. and the little piece of mind that the wet runs with.

Nitrous is very unforgiving and will find the first weak link. I feel more comfortable spraying dry while relying on the injectors to deliver the fuel. It is more likely that a Nitrous fuel pump that is supplied with the kits will go bad. I have seen plenty of them give out during a run. It you get an aftermarket high pressure pump to replace the one in the NOS or NX kit then that will be better. Either way you should get an A/F ratio meter that will shut off the Nitrous if you go lean.

how big of an injector would you figure is needed for lets say a strong 1507 and a 150 dry?

S2000 injectors with an aftermarket fuel pump at 55 psi will do it
