Do you think they are better than a stock basket?

it's only better than a stock basket if it will hold up and outperform the stock basket..Are the MTC and Hays billlet baskets better than stock baskets???? YES!!!

I'd get a Hays basket Gary.
Then, if you want to go with an engine driven lockup or slider in the future, all you will need is the hat, pressure plate, and a few misc components. No sense in buying  a billet basket that you can't upgrade later, since you like to hit the track.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

Dwayne from Cycle concepts can hook you up :tu: I believe he is a direct dealer. If he isn't, let me know Gary and I will get you Tim Hays' direct contact info.

BTW, your old engine is sitting on my garage floor....probably going to put it back together and re-install tonight...

Only things left from original are the frame, front fairing and stay, gauges, engine cases and some small accessories on the engine, and the side fairings....I believe almost everything else has been changed.
