Hey Don,
Sorry 'bout not calling, been kinda hectic.
There's been headwinds all day. I don't know the mph but I'm guessing a constant 8-10.......not good but it is sunny and hot for this time of the year. Good clear day.
Seems like the cars got a better deal as far as runs, I had 4+ hours between my passes.
Dean dropped a valve the first pass on his turbo 10. He was gonna break out the nitrous bike but since it was early and he had a fresh spare motor he did the swap, it'll be ready come morning. He's gonna break it in on boost on the first pass
RG rode Jims 14 and it developed a miss and he shut it down on the first pass. #3 spark plug gap was closed so Jim parked it. It sounded so good going thru the gears.
Bill had a clutch issue on the streetbike but I'm thinking he got it solved. I'm believe he made one shakedown pass on the race bike but the wind was pretty bad. I'd say he'll be loaded for bear come morning.
Karl ran a 219 off the trailer and a 217 in the wind and called it a day........awesome bike.
RG's nephew, Little Richard made his rookie passes on a new ZX10R so he'll be ready tomorrow.
Charlie, the kid from Texas took a record on his nitrous 14 running 212 and he was stoked, it was a nice pass into the wind.
Scott Horner made a rookie pass on Mark's turbo 'Busa and is gonna run for a naked record tomorrow that I believe he'll get.
I'm tired and can't think of much more but I'm sure someone else will chime in. Gotta get up in 5 hours to try and beat Karl to the track, he loves that pole position!
Conditions look great tomorrow.
Dan
