I would like to mention...that a young, new rider....."Charlie" from San Antonio, that drove up with the "California Kid", I think broke his class record 3-times
running a ZX14, with a dry nitrous shot, tuned by Johnny Cheese went 223.xxx..... Congratulations Charlie!!
He probably would have gone faster if the cross winds hadn't got so bad this afternoon.
Bob
Charlie rode the wheels off his bike! Every full pass on nitrous set and then
reset his class record. (212, 216, 219, 221.18mph final record)
He definitely could have gone faster, gearing, low bottle pressure, and sidewinds held him up.
I'm so proud of this guy, and would like to thank him for the opportunity to rebuild the engine
and set up the nitrous system on his bike. In March @ Texas after going 201 in those winds
and getting his Tshirt, his engine expired. He did alot with a very basically stk motor.
Also many thanks to Johnnycheese for letting us get on the dyno only days before he had to leave.
Lastly, thanks to Jim or Dean, whoever it was (Charlie couldn't remember) that lent him the 19T sprocket.
Without that he would have been stuck at 212mph. LSR racers and TFA are the best group of people you will find anywhere!
Way to go Charlie, keep representing for the Kawi's!
