ZX14 Clutches
« on: July 19, 2011, 12:40:43 PM »
I've read people were getting ZX14 clutch sets to help with setting their particular stack height. Is it just the fiber sets or the steels also that offer different thicknesses?

The zx14 fibers aren't gonna offer any help but the steel plates will..the zx14 uses 2.6mm steels and the busa's use 2.0 and 2.3mm steels

Just so I'm clear on this the ZX14 fibers are the same as a Hayabusa? They just won't offer any additional thickness that you would get with a Busa set. They can be used?
Thanks.

Hayabusa and ZX14 odd fiber measures 3.8mm roughly
Hayabusa 8 thin fibers measure 3.0mm roughly
ZX14 remaining 9 fibers all measure 3.0mm roughly
Hayabusa big fiber measures 3.8mm roughly

So using ZX14 fibers with hayabusa steels will not get you any more than using hayabusa fibers..Now using busa fibers and zx14 steels can get you real tall stack heights..stock busa stack height is 1.985'ish and a stock zx14 stack height is 2.15'ish

Are the zx14 steels less likely to warp because their
Thicker?
