8 over Haybusa Tail support brackets
« on: April 21, 2012, 06:33:43 AM »
Just got a Catalyst 8 over tail for my busa.  They recommend you use additional supports for the tail  What kind of brackets are you guys using or making and do you have any pics.

Thanks

I'd like to know too.  I've seen some people get really creative.

I made my own Under Tail with a bit thicker material (1/8" Aluminum) and had it Black Anodized.
It supports the Tail Light w/a Rubber Pad.
Here is the complete Build: http://www.suzukihayabusa.org/forum/index.php?topic=115913.0

I would use stronger language then "recommend" if you don't support the rear of the tail the fiberglass of the front mounts will crack.
When I was using a factory subframe this is what I did.

The Tails DO Flex and they need something to absorb & support the movement - Add some dense Foam Fubber on that Rail too.  :tu:

Yes, I did put some foam on that one. I've since built my own subframe.
