As a side note to your original post... the GS1150E/ES bikes as they're called on this side of the pond have an additional 1.5" wheelbase advantage over the Busa at stock length.

indeed they do,with a crank centreline much
closer to the front wheel as well.thats why
they 330 so well, but, their lies the challenge
for a busa.About 132mph half track is the highest
a busa has acheived stock wheelbase so far.
the ef series bikes could hit 134mph and we all know
first to the 330 often wins the race.you need a masterful
throttle hand in first gear i tell you.

bear in mind fellas, its a street registered bike
its still a good bit slower in the short track
than the quickest stock length busa at 8.68 over here,
thats a pretty high bar to try and jump over so i may not be on the pitch,
but im in the ballpark, more blood needs to be spilt in the shed
yet,lol.

yep,mild 1507cc street motor.they haul the mail
with the same head and cams as when it was
a 1441.it would have run  155-6mph in that air as a 1441
as a reference of the 2 engine sizes in very similar states
of tune.

The blue one is all motor 1441cc Gen2 crank APE lightened and balanced (sooooo smooth compared to the stock gen 2 crank).
On that day it went 8.68, 8.69 an 8.70, it has gone 166mph on one occasion and regular 164-5s in really good air on slower ET's.

Definitely NOT streetable, whereas Glenn's is.

mmm me likey rossco, lol,Now wheres those engine mount sockets, lol.Ya gotta love a tough all motor setup in a short bike, its really tough to get a handle on them but feels great when you
eventually become the boss.Mine started out just as my streeter on pump fuel with more low end torque than my 1441,i ran a 9.45@159mph at completely stock height ,no straps, galespeed magnesium wheels and a ballast brick,I had it pinned at the 6 second mark, lol.I kept getting harrassed to run it and i thought, nah, ill never use it all,i came off it, in another state by foolishly leaving the billet clutch hub in it and it locked up into a corner on closed throttle, spat me off and dislocated my shoulder,i didnt touch it for 6 months, dragged my dads 1299 gen1 stock length with 180hp,it scared me a bit after my crash but i got used to it and ran a 9.19 on it,i thought maybe,i was gradually tidying mine up at the time and gradually my confidence came back so i lowered it, got it ready for dragging again left the brick in the corner and said to myself,i want to do it right this time and thought ill be right.First few passes over 161mph on a cold skatey street meet track i discovered the head bearings were a bit lose and it head shook in the deep end and frightened the snot out of me,i thought,i dunno about this maybe ive lost my mojo,i sorted a few issues here and there and slowly but surely melted into the seat,Ive run just shy of 164 at 163.95mph in better air but slightly slower et and 60 as ross found. Its taken a good while to dominate it and if you dont respect these style of bikes with gentle hands they bite HARD,just how you respect a good wife, lol.I agree with ross about the balanced gen2 cranks,i did one on a 1340 i built,159mph 2nd pass and it was that smooth it felt slow, stock length, smoother than my marine 5mm billet, easily.Theres a certain satisfaction
when a guy walks up to your bike after its run an 8,they dont see a turbo, they dont see a nos bottle, they dont see the wheel hanging a foot out the back of the bike, theres no physical excuse why its a second quicker and 20+mph faster than a piped stocker, that confused look on their face is priceless, and when they ask whats been done we all say................................................ SHES STOCK MATE,  :hys: :hys:  :tu:
