Looked windy.  Is that normal?

The surface sounded kinda rough too.

Kirk,
you ought to come to the Texas Mile or some other LSR event, put our petty differences behind, and you'll see how much fun it can be.  I'll be the first to pull a beer outa the TFA cooler for you.

The Texas Mile at the new venue has had 2 events and both were windy as fuk, up to 25mph+.
Early in the morning wind stays reasonable for an hour or so.  They start running at 7am, good on them.
I only made 4 passes in 3 full days bc of the wind.  Pussy = me.
When the TFA flags start snappin', i sit with Fred, getting his advice on Geritol & Depends & Scooter Chairs & such, that man sure knows what he is talking about.

The surface?  Opinions vary.
I find it fine, w-a-y better than Maxton, albeit with a couple bumps.

It's already part of the plan, Karl.  SV Hottie and I plan to retire to a sailboat in the gulf of Mexico, probably based out of Corpus.  That would put us within reach of Johnny and Beeville.

Okay, I read the Texas Mile online rule book.  It looks like once we move to Texas, the easiest way for me to do this would be to just obtain a CMRA expert road racing license, and then use that at the Texas Mile, in lieu of a class "A" (215 mph) license.  I could use a 205 mph pass plus a CMRA license to get an "AA" license, but it wouldn't serve any purpose- I really don't see myself spending enough money to go much faster than about 205 mph anyway, and the "AA" license is not needed until I get over 215 mph.  Am I understanding it right?

Kirk,
I don't exactly know what the licensing process is, but it's no big deal.
You go to Ryan Arnold tell him about yr racing history, no need of paperwork.
He'll prob put you in B, then you could immediately go qualify for A.
But you'd want to do a couple shakedown passes anyway to familiarize yourself with the course, shut down length, etc.
Karl

BTW:  are you going to be there in March?
