I talked to Bob Sellers last night. Bill has 4 broken ribs and a slightly punctured lung, no broken ankle, a couple of broken bones in his hand. They are going to fix his hand and hopefully release him tomorrow. I am so happy he was not hurt worse thaqn he is.
I had to come home yesterday due to a family issue.
Talkied to Brenda Sue this morning, she is licensing up on Jen's bike. She is now licensed to go 215. Go get em girl. Billy S ran a 250 something this morning. Jen ran a 222+ on JC's coppertop. I just talked to JC and everybody is on the trailer for the day. Winds are stupid. Congratulations to Tom for a bad ass naked run. :thumb: :tu:

You trying to scare him into recovery Jody? We're talking about a guy who puts on a coat to open the refrigerator  :hys:  I think if you just tell Bill he can't get well by Halloween he will be dynoing the bike the day before.   Everybody keep him in your thoughts and the power of prayer will heal him in no time.   LSL

If I was told I had to spend the winter in Canada I would do something, kick the Sheriff in the shin, and spend the winter in jail, not Canada. :hys:

WTG Billy Shoemaker, didn't take long to get 'up to speed' on his new bike  :tu:

Sorry about the motor Tommy, hope it's not too bad. I hurt my turbo on the dyno, it's done.

Any other results? Did Karl run this morning, did Don Davila get his bike figured out, did Jen run on JC's bike? Brenda Sue?

Talked to JC earlier, he is at fiesta Texas, Jen was on a really good run and plenum hose came off. Brenda had a best of 192+, last run the turbo died. Everybody is packing up.

I really had fun running naked. Karl's bike is a bracket bike, lots of 218s. Motors no biggie, time for the winter overhaul. I spoke to Bill earlier and he's losing is voice, send him texts and buy some shirts  :thumb:

Just made it home.  Great to see many old friends.  So sorry to hear about Bill's misfortune.  Didn't get there until late Friday night so missed it.  Spoke to him today as well.  He has a great attitude--but what would you expect.  As everyone has mentioned the wind was dreadful.  Track surface doesn't seem to be quite as grippy as Goliad.  The best we could muster was 246.6 mph on Sunday A.M.  Had several 220s and 230 passes.  Thanks to Mike, D, Boyd and John of Third Coast Speed for putting together a great reliable package for me.  Congratulations to Billy S. for his 255 run as well as Tom's naked 241.

Looking forward to next time,

ben

I have to agree with Ben, even running NA, I was having traction issues that i don't remember having at Goliad.
Not way worse, just a lil worse.
But my tire was getting down, went away completely on Sun, 1st and 2nd skating,  so maybe that was it.

Jen is having surgery tomorrow to pin her broken finger. She fell off a horse after jumping an obstacle last wensday. That is her new hobby riding jumping horses. A broken finger did not slow her down at the mile -  she is one tough little girl. Let me see now 4 broken arms, broken collar bone, jaw surgery and now a little broken finger. I had a good time at the mile and my only regret was that we didn't get Brenda Sue over 200 before the turbo died after 5 years of hard racing. I will have a nice winter project in my new shop building a new engine for next year.

Heal up fast Bill -  the sport needs it's Super Man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
