That speed was not from the 1/2.  It was from the Mile and it was 239.  I was sitting in the ticket trailer watching when he came through.

When I talked to Bob Sellers, at the hospital, when he told Bill that the speed was 236, Bill said " no f--- way , 236 is in third gear". :hys: Oops just saw Ryan's post.

Could easily have been 236 at the half,
who knows say 275 at wheelie point 500' from traps,
come out of the throttle, trap 239 while decelerating...
Often wrong, but never unsure!!!!!

So far as all the concern, about Bill's responce to the 239 speed, was when Bill was in the Trauma unit.....Let's all remember, Bill was still in shock, at that time.......his memory was some what vague of the accident.....as all of ours would be, He's doing much better now, He's slowly remembering & watching HIS video.....I'm sure more will come out, at a later time.....let's all be patient as Bill recovers.....
The Texas mile speed was probably correct. And Karl's & Jay's report are the most accurate...as I've seen posted.....Let's all just keep Bill in our prayers for a godspeed recovery.
Thanks,
Bob.

I predict that Bill will thoroughly and completely recover in record time and with minimal pain.  That is what Morphine, Oxycontin and Demerol are for.......just be cautious in their use, all are effective but addictive.

I have had experience with all three.  They work.  But they also make ya kinda drunk.  I would rather be kinda drunk than in pain and I am sure Bill would agree.

Heal fast and get back on that scoot, Bill.   :tu:

I talked to him this morning, he got up and sat in a chair and had his morning coffee. He was supposed to meet with the doctors later about what and when. He was in good spirits and talked of racing (Not going to make Valdosta). He was beat up pretty good but he will be back, faster than ever.  :tu: :tu:   LSL
All motor all the time and a turbo now and then.
