NITROUS JETS
« on: December 01, 2011, 10:11:57 AM »
I read somewhere that the orfice on a NOS jet and a NX jet of the same .XX are actually a different size.  A noticably different size. I cant find where I read that but I remember pictures showing 2 jets of the same .XX and you could tell the difference. Does this sound right? I know back in the day nitrous hp ratings were all bhp and now they are whp.

Reason I ask is because I have a .36 jet. and for the life of me I cant find a online answer what shot it is..... I have heard 40,45,50,55,60!!

I saw this on here

Single nx jet spread

18 22hp
20 25hp
22 27hp
24 30hp
26 35hp
28 40hp
30 44hp
32 48hp
34 50hp
36 55hp.......
38 60hp
40 65hp
42 75hp

any thoughts?
In the begining I wanted 140's in the 1/4...
never thought it would go 140's in the 1/8

36 jet usually results in 40-50 depending on fuel type and tune, and you might ask the guys at AP about the different brands I also remember orifice differences in the brands but that was back in the car days.
Hayabusa, because 14's are just slow!

find someone to pin them...machinist talk for....find out how big of a pin will pass thru a certain size jet

I bet a 20 jet is .02
a 36 jet .036

and so on
I would also assume the difference in HP ratings it based on different nitrous bottle and fuel pressure setups
