Only bitch I ever had with a gel seat is when it got hot it got DAM HOT :grn:
The older you get do you notice you start chickening out way before the bike does

the first day i rode mine with it sitting outside in the sun during the day i pulled over on the expressway, i thought maybe the battery was on fire and melting to my ass, it was HOOOOOT

Yes, gel seats get very hot in the sun but they can be covered when not in use.  I have a gel pad over the seat on my 82 CBX and it is VERY comfy.
