'01 to '04 wiring
« on: February 25, 2012, 06:22:49 PM »
ok I bought an engine for my sand rail and want to use the bazzaz auto tuning system. they don't make it for the '99 to '03 any more so I was told if I got the ecu and flywheel off the '04 to '07 it would work. does anyone know which 4 wires need to be swapped on the ecu to make this work? I bought the ecu off an '04 and it's the right # on the back and the flywheel off an '06 and was told just 4 wires on the ecu switched to make it work. thanks

What year is the harness?  if it is 02+, there is no change required. If it is an 01, there really isn't a "required" change, but the crank rigger wire polarity can be switched to make it truly the same. If it is a 99-00 harness, then there are a few more wires to swap.

If the part number is listed on the ECU still take a look at it. You want the one that ends in -24FKO. This is a the 32bit ECU. It was used from '02-'07.

The multi pin plug that joins the injector and tps loom to the main loom is round on the 01+ and square on the 99-00
