The main thing is it is not a standing 1/2 mile.
I know in the "Old days" at Goliad they were
not real rigid on pulling you to the starting line.
People would try and stage as far back as possible.
The starters got wise and now you must pull up to the line.
Ten feet can be a few miles an hour.

I think that you are correct that even
10 feet would be an advantage.
Using Ben Beckert as an example,
we could calculate that if he took
an extra 150 feet in the 1/2 mile,
he would be 2-4 mph faster in the lights.
In any case, I have no doubt that
the H2R, properly set up and ridden,
would do OVER 200 mph in the 0.0 mile.Not fast for a $50,000 bike,
but not bad for "buy it and drive it....."
